Consider It Joy
The Bible offers strange language to those who live in the midst of suffering: "Consider it all joy." But isn't it far easier to consider it all yukky and even wonder whether or not God truly loves us? Wayne and Brad talk about their times of suffering and how to let God work in such times in ways that transform our lives. In response to a question on the God Journey Forum they also discuss the apparent difficulty of finding older brothers and sisters who can help when we struggle in our own journey.

One Master, but many brothers…
(Mat 23:8 NIV) “”But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi (teacher),’ for you have only one Master and you are all brothers.”
(1 Cor 12:21 NIV) “The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!””
Do we need mentors ? – no.
Do we need brothers (and sisters) ? – absolutely !
No matter how far along the road we might think we are, or we might think someone else is…the reality is, that underneath, we are all the same, and we all need Him, and Him in each other.
