Finding Calm Amid Chaos (#1003)

Wayne and Kyle were together in Sheridan, Wyoming, this week and had the rare chance to sit down face-to-face after Wayne had shared the Language of Healing with Kyle's sociology class. They talk about Wayne and Sara's trip so far, and that leads them to a conversation about finding calmness in the midst of chaos. Peace doesn't come from our circumstances, but from Presence. His peace can actually guide us through any difficulty and allow us to see what opportunities he has for us.

  1. Hey guys

I came across this thought while listening to some peaceful music this week.

I questioned my sons and a friend of mine that we were having dinner with.
What is the best way not to live or see the shadows? Shadows being the things that seem dark in our lives.

The answer is so easy but profound!

    Answer? Don’t look at them!

They will always be there until the glory of God is the only thing that lights up everything, where there will be no day or night and no shadows.

Think on things lovely, true or honest, things of good report and the peace of God shall keep your minds in Christ.

It’s a learning curve of cutting off the the thoughts and intents that the evil one brings to our lives. Think it not strange but be patient and wait for Jesus to come. Don’t go and get it. Remain in his love and he will deliver.

Anyway the shadows are only that, shadows of which the devil uses for bad but God delivers us always. Don’t look at the shadows. If you turn 180 degrees guess what’s behind the shadow? Blinding light and glory.

  2. Thanks Wayne and Kyle for the podcast. And for the reminder that death is tougher for the ones left behind, given the glory of Heaven. As I endure the loss of family and friends through death, whether physical or otherwise, I need to keep the Presence of Jesus my main focus.
