Faith In the Midst of Tragedy (#767)

Let times of tragedy soften our hearts so we can see what adventure the Father has for us next. With the COVID-19 pandemic, our political polarization, and now wildfires in the West, many have asked how Wayne and Sara are navigating this difficult time.  Bob Prater, coauthor of A Language of Healing for a Polarized Nation, joins Wayne as the work through the events of this weekend when his dad was displaced by the gigantic Creek Fire in Central California. They talk about how they view the pandemic seven months in and the kind of prayers they offer in times of extremity and uncertainty. Instead off grasping for some illusion of control, they lean into what God might be saying and letting a turn in circumstances, especially negative ones, to be an invitation into a different adventure.
