Protecting Jesus (#929)
This is part two of the podcast Kyle and Wayne started last week as they process the discoveries Wayne shared in the original Agreeing with God podcast at the first of the year. In this conversation they explore spiritual warfare and how we might be involved in it. A dream also invites them to explore what happens when we try to protect Jesus with our humanity instead of letting him protect us with his victory on the cross. Finally, they answer a listener's question as to whether or not they are being selfish because they don't feel they have any emotional strength to fellowship with God's agony. I believe the following scripture describes what you’re trying to get at with making God as our shield and exceedingly great reward:
Deuteronomy 23:5 Nevertheless the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.
I had just read this scripture before listening to this podcast. God is soooooooo….. Awesome.
